Copy Down

The Copy Down feature is illustrated below.

Copy Down Field Selection: How it works:
Copy Down When the user clicks the Set Copy Down (on/off) button, the screen to the left will appear. The user then has the choice to click All (all fields) or None (no fields).

The user can also click on the field names in the list to select or deselect fields for copy down.

  • The fields that are selected for copy down are highlighted after they are clicked on.

    Click OK to continue.

    In order for the fields to copy down. The copy down checkbox must be checked.


  • When the Copy Down checkbox is checked, any fields that have been selected for copy down will copy to a new record when clicking the Add button. If this feature is being used in a grid the data will copy down when the user clicks or tabs down to the next row in the grid. The data will also copy down if the user just clicks the Add button.
