The Inspection Errors field is illustrated on the screen-shot below.
After going into the field and making visual inspections of management
sections, the user will enter distresses that are found, using the
inspection unit
screen. On occasion, the user may make a data entry error that will cause an
inspection unit error when
PCI from Inspection Unit
calculations are run.
The following problems will generate an inspection unit error:
-
An inspection date earlier than the PCI date.
-
The total area of the inspection unit is greater than 105 percent of the
section area.
-
There is more than one inspection date for the current section.
-
There are only non-representative treatments for the current section. (part of
a section can be non-representative; that is, it can receive special
maintenance/rehabilitation treatments from the rest of the section, but it is
illogical for an entire section to have special treatments).
If you are calculating PCI and you generate an inspection unit error:
|
1.
|
Open the Inspection Units screen and click on the Inspection Unit
Error button.
|
|
2.
|
All management sections with inspection errors appear in the Mgt.
Section combo box at the top of the screen.
|
|
3.
|
Select any of the sections to load the inspection unit and fix the
error that is described in the Inspection Error text box.
|
|
4.
|
Save the fixed record and continue this process until all of the
errors have been fixed.
