The Maintenance Treatments screen contains the maintenance treatments, options, and treatment unit costs. These maintenance treatments are assigned to management sections based on the functional classification, surface type, and condition. Altogether, they make up the treatment assignment decision tree. Each agency should ensure it has appropriate treatments and treatment unit costs entered into this decision tree. This screen is designed to assist you in connecting appropriate treatments and unit costs tot he decision tree branches. The Maintenance Treatments screen is shown below.

You can access maintenance treatment information as follows.

	1.	Double click the name of the functional class you wish to modify.
	2.	Double click the name of the surface type you want to modify.
	3.	Double click the condition category the condition you want to modify. There may be one or more treatments for each condition category. Select the appropriate treatment from the list.

The fields that appear on this screen are:

Decision Tree	To use the Decision Tree, select the functional classification, surface type and condition category of the treatment you want to change. Click on the name to activate lower branches of the decision tree.
Treatment	The suggested treatment is displayed. Click on the edit symbol and the arrow to open te drop-down box from which other treatments can be selected.
Cost/Sq Yd	The current treatment cost per square yard. The suggested treatment is displayed. Click on the edit symbol and the cost box to change the values.

Note: Condition Category I contains three treatments that add other fields to the details section. They are defined below.

Crack Treatment	This will assign a treatment to seal cracks and/or joints on a recurring periodic basis.
Treatment	The treatment must be selected from the drop down menu.
Cost/Linear Ft.	The cost per linear foot for the treatment.
Years Between Crack Seals	This treatment will be scheduled based on this interval.

Surface Treatment	This will assign a treatment to seal the surface on a recurring periodic basis.
Treatment	The treatment must be selected from the drop down menu.
Cost/Sq Yd	The cost per square yard for the treatment.
Years Between Surface Seals	This treatment will be scheduled based on this interval.

Restoration Treatment	This will assign a treatment after the maximum number of seals has been reached and another treatment is needed.
Treatment	The treatment must be selected from the drop down menu.
Cost/Sq Yd	The cost per square yard for the treatment.
Number of Surface Seals Before Overlay	The maximum number of successive surface seals before an overlay or other treatment is required.

Maintenance treatment data must be current before you calculate your budget needs and your budget scenarios. If you change maintenance data, you must calculate a new budget needs and budget scenarios.
