(Dr. Smith will provide an overview of pavement preservation concepts and how these concepts are integrated with a PMS to provide its full benefits.)

(Beth will share her experience on strategies of more funding for street maintenance.)

5. Integrating GIS with StreetSaver 11:15 am

(Seth will provide the nuts and bolts of how to link PMS information to GIS basemap.)

6. Semi-Automated Distress Survey 11:30 am

(Joon will share the success story using semi-automated distress survey with the city of Santa Clara.)

7. Regional Pavement Needs Assessment (MTC/OCTA)12:45 pm
Theresa Romell, MTC/ Margot Yapp, Nichols Consulting Engineers
(MTC and Nichols prepared the region-wide pavement need assessment for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Orange County Transportation Authority, respectively. Both will share the importance of performing regional pavement needs assessments, steps for a successful assessment and lessons learned.)

8. StreetSaver® Overview 1:45 pm

(Topics to cover include the benefits of a PMS and basic concepts on condition assessment, deterioration curves, decision trees and unit costs, budget scenarios, and project selections.)
